Atop Sentry Mountain stands a 400’ statue of Karrg,
gnawed out of the very rock itself and on the slopes stand Karrg's
petrified army awaiting their re-animation when the Uz of Dagori
Inkarth are in dire peril. In the caves beneath Karrg’s statue dwell
the Stone Clan, descendents of Karrg's waiting army who dutifully await
the day of reckoning. They tend the stone army and support the five
Priests of Lead who maintain the shrine to Karrg Unfettered within the
Clan’s cave complex. It is said that when the time is right the Priests
of Lead will summon Karrg himself to inhabit his statue and lead his
army against their foes.
The True Son’s are the military extension of the Stone Clan and exists
to emulate Karrg in his defence of the Uz people against all who would
harm them. Although many warriors are recruited from the local clan
others join from the many Karrg worshippers who attend Sentry Mountain
on holy days to worship with the Priests of Lead.
The current warband leader Jorzax Lead Tusk is more aggressive than
previous leaders and has taken to raiding deep into the lands of any
who attack his people. He hates all enemies of darkness, but saves most
of his anger for the Lunar empire who he knows have made a pact with
chaos and whose fire worshipping allies around Aldachur attack their Uz
neighbours without compunction. With the coming of the hero wars he
awaits the battles when human will fight human and old scores can be
settled with the weakened survivors.

Contacts: |
The
True Sons have many contacts throughout Dagori Inkarth, and can call
upon significant aid from clans either helped in the past or those
thinking they may need help in future. The True Sons never ask payment
for going to the assistance of clans under attack from Humans or other
foes, but the expectation is that repayment will be made when
required.
Magical support is provided by the Priests of Lead at Sentry Mountain,
who although not leading the band directly are influential within the
leadership.
Many of the True Sons’ members come from the Indigo Mountain tribe and
they maintain a good relationship with the tribe’s Queen, sometimes
fighting on her behalf, in return receiving gifts and support. |
Organization
The True Sons are based at Sentry Mountain although some
will always be away patrolling or on raids. The warband is divided into
a number of smaller bands, each lead by a Devotee of Karrg (Karrgs
Nephew).
Some bands have individual character, such as one that uses beetle
‘shock troops’ or another that makes great use of allied Dehori.
Sometimes the whole Warband will act together, but more usually one or
leaders will undertake specific missions with their immediate
followers.
The True Sons specialize in ambushing raiders in Uz lands and in
performing lightning attacks on villages identified as being home to
enemies of Uzdom. Their strategy makes use of surprise attacks, with
set piece battles only occurring where either the odds are strongly in
their favor or where retreat is not possible.
