Time to make nominations for Best of Glorantha 2003
Once again, it is time for the Glorantha Tribe to step forward and recognize its members for their accomplishments. Sword Day
is fast approaching, so grab your sword and shield and step forward at the moot to put forth your favorite Gloranthan offerings.
In other words, nominations for the Best of Glorantha 2003 are now being accepted! Go here
for more information about the Best of Glorantha 2003 and here to review the
nomination mechanics and categories!
Nominations must be received before midnight PST on January 31, 2004 to be considered. Each Runemaster or Hero can nominate
in any or all of the categories, and all Initiates, Runemasters, and Heroes will then vote in each category.
Send your nominating emails
or use the online nomination form. This nomination form is in the
secure area of the GTA site. (By their nature, nominations by e-mail are not private or secret. However, the GTA will not make
them public, nor release the name of any anonymous GTA member who chooses to nominate or vote anonymously.)
We do want to point out a few differences from last year:
- Best Glorantha Short Fiction has become Best Gloranthan Fiction.
- Best Glorantha Game Aid has become Best Glorantha Game Aid or Article to avoid exclusion by implication.
- To better reflect the intent of the category, Hall of Elders has been renamed Gloranthan Treasures.
Greg Stafford will select from among the nominations the product that will join the King of Dragon Pass
computer game as a Gloranthan Treasure.
- As written, the rules state that a single product cannot be voted on in more than 3 categories, with Issaries selecting
those three categories if it was nominated in 4 or more. We have clarified this to indicate that a single product or its
components cannot be considered in more than 3 categories. Thus, if HeroQuest, its descriptions, its
artwork, and its scenarios are nominated in 6 categories, we will select only three of those for it to be voted on.
- Because HeroQuest was released in August of 2003, nominations for Scenarios, Descriptions,
and House Rules for both Hero Wars and HeroQuest will be accepted equally.
