Prefinished Works Price IncreaseIssaries, Inc. is sorry to announce that we are increasing the price of all of the Prefinished Works, effective immediately. Because these are printed on demand, the cost of printing combined with the discount given to Wizards Attic simply does not make them cost effective to produce at the current price. The books affected are ISS 8801 The Entekosiad, ISS 8802 Glorious ReAscent of Yelm, ISS 8803 Fortunate Succession, ISS 8804 Missing Lands, and ISS 8805 Revealed Mythologies. These items will now carry WA stock numbers rather than ISS stock numbers.At the same time, we wish to clarify the policy of GTA discounts for these books. To date, we have been allowing GTA members to take their 10% to 30% discount on the Prefinished Works. However, the GTA membership and discounts were never intended for non-standard publications such as the Prefinished Works. Therefore, also effective immediately, these items are no longer eligible for the discount GTA members receive on Issaries products bought through Wizards Attic. Even with the price increase, the discount prevents these items from being cost effective. (As a further clarification, although the upcoming Unspoken Word book UZ: The Trolls of Glorantha is licensed by Issaries, it also is not an Issaries product, and so will not be eligible for the GTA discount if purchased through Wizards Attic.) However, in an attempt to partially offset the above changes, Issaries is pursuing other avenues to make these books available. We have heard several complaints that buying the Prefinished Works is simply too expensive for many people living outside of the US, who face shipping charges of up to $15 US. To address this issue, we are dealing with parties in both Europe and Japan to try to make these books available locally. Once these plans are finalized, we will make an announcement about availability and cost. We hope that the decrease in shipping will bring these books within reach of some additional fans, despite the price increase. |
