Announcement: Storm Tribe
New Book Upcoming!
We are adding a second Orlanthi Players Book called Storm Tribe, Cults
of Sartar. We are making two because of the sheer amount of material we have
(and have still coming in), and the thoroughness with which we want to treat the
main gods of the Heortlings.
Thunder Rebels (ISS1301) is still
the Orlanthi Players Book for
Hero Wars. It is "what everyone knows." It explains how the Orlanthi see their
world, and provides a view of their world form the inside. It has maps,
illustrations and stories of the Orlanthi myths, history and day to day living.
It concentrates on the mainstream cults of Orlanth and Ernalda, with subcults.
It is a must for every Orlanthi player.
Scheduled for November.
Storm Tribe (ISS1310) is
subtitled Cults of Sartar. Within it are the
details for the minor cults that are of major interest. It highlights Humakt,
Urox, Elmal, Issaries, other Lightbringers and many others; as well as the
Orlanthi shamanic traditions. It includes long write ups for a few deities,
and short forms for the rest to give affinities and sample feats. Myths about
these gods and goddesses are also here, as well as articles on miscellaneous
Orlanthi information such as arm wrestling, kite flying and where the Lunar
regiments are headquartered and patrol. Finally, it has information on the
other "not quite right" people that are in the world, like Ducks, Telmori,
and the trollish tribes of Kitori and Torkani.
Scheduled for December.
The two-book set allows us to reveal much new information as well as consolidate
30 years of writing into one place. The books will highlight who we are, how we
worship, what we know about our lands and the surrounding lands, and who our
immediate neighbors are. We'll have keywords (occupation and magical), and the
clan generator. We'll have three clans as examples of "typical" Heortling clans.
Sartar and Lunar switch places on Future Schedule
Sartar Rising (ISS1401) is going
to be moved forward, to make
it available as soon as possible within our ability to move things now. Its
content will not change. It includes everyday Orlanthi scenarios, an over-arching
story arc of opportunity for a decade, some scenarios to allow participation in
Dragonrise, and "enemy" cults and people like the Yelmalio, Tusk Riders, Lunars,
chaos things and more.
Scheduled for February, '01.
Lunar Imperial Handbook, the Lunar Players Book for Hero Wars,
(ISS1302) is coming well along in its raw manuscript. We have asked the authors
to turn their creative attention to helping finish critical material in
Sartar Rising for now. This used to be called "She Guards Us" as a
temporary title. It is for Lunar player heroes, who are not quite what the
Orlanthi see them to be.
Scheduled for May '01.
All books are 256 pages, trade paperback size, and cost $19.95.
