From what I remember of “The Fall of the House of Malan” the Lismelder tribe were formed from a breakaway section of the Malani, so original Malan clans include the Poss and the Greydogs – but I was more concerned with what was going on in my clan to worry to much about the others…

As a general rule, Id think Clans joining an existing tribe are considered roughly equal. If they are transferring from another Tribe, they must feel the move is an improvement, and the receiving tribe presumably sees a benefit in accepting them. But inter-clan rivalries can exist within a Tribe, so it’s always possible that someone will see the newcomers as taking their traditional role, or see an opportunity to demand tribute from new neighbours, especially if boundary changes are involved…

This section Jamie’s site was creatures omitted fro Annaxial’s Roster, so are IIRC in Hero Wars rather than Hero Quest notation- I think the+3 is an Edge (Alternately indicated by an upturned V – The Shargash Rune) – an edge added to the effect of a contest, without adding to the AP. They have no equivalent in HQ2…

It should probably be in the “Runequest” forum if it is on this site, or in the forums on the Design Mechanissm or Mongoose sites (I’ve not been to the Mongoose forums for ages – probably on a “Legend” forum, as they are unlikely to still have a RQII one)

So, let me get this straight. Most of you would rather have a book that covers a wider selection of Gods than a book that tracks the change of cultic thought that ended up with how the Lunar Empire came to be? I’m a little disappointed.

Well, I’d like both! But they are two different books. One is the sort of “Game Supporting” publication that Moon Design promised to produce when they took on the licence, the other is the sort of book that belongs in the Stafford Library, deep background that provides inspiration.

Maybe letting the next foundational work from Moon Design get so big that the publication queue stalls for 18 months is not the optimal plan? It may be better for both publishers and purchasers if there is enough goodness left in the Pamaltelan and East Isles gods to warrant a later publication of Gods volume 2?

One of the arguments for revisiting Sartar & Prax is that this is where the majority of fans are interested in, so it may be that a book of non-central Genertelan Gods would be harder to Kickstart on it’s own.

That said, a series of books, delivered alongside the other books on the publication list would certainly be preferable to another long period with nothing at all!

    And for completeness http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impala
The Sable Antelope is a lot larger than an Impala – there is a reason that Impala riders are pygmies!

I’m sure I heard/read somewhere, though I forget where, that Chaosium/Greg decided to start off with Pavis/Prax because it was “out of the way”, and thus if they discovered any problems in the production of campaign packs, they would have a chance to learn from these before starting on the more important/central regions
