The thing with HQ2 is that NPCs don’t have stats anymore – you just assign a difficulty rating based on the situation or the pass/fail cycle. I think for PC’s you are better off just generating them from scratch.

    Hi Philip,

I will be happy to pass out on. Was just wondering what the best to do it is (and whether Moon Design is happy for me to post it somewhere).

(or should I say is the love rune…)

Hmmm… but I thought the Heortlings would still understand Uleria as the ultimate source of all love (both good and unhealthy)… As a member of the original cosmic court she pretty much embodies the love rune…

I have to admit to being rather surprised (although I haven’t read Heortling Mythology yet). Given how relaxed the Heotlings are about sex and relationships, I would not have thought demonizing Love was big thing at all. I understand that love can cause conflict and even kinstrife, and might therefore be considered dangerous, but for large sections of Heortling society to view Uleria as an evil demon seems very un-Orlanthi to me…

… neither, I am pretty sure, do the Heortlings see Uleria, the cosmic goddess of love, as evil…

Evil does not equal Chaos in Glorantha! One thing that I always loved about the setting was how trolls (for example) would be considered evil by most people (they eat sentient beings), but are in fact one of the greatest champions against chaos. Tusk riders have pretty near no redeeming features (they are very evil) , but they are not chaotic…

I am missing the Delta people / house references, and my DuckDuckGo-fu is failing. May I ask of what you speak?

See, I always liked the incongruity of the original Borderlands box picture – Amerind types with swords – made it feel different from Earth, and exotic…

I think it’s also worth pointing out that there is absolutely nothing to stop you stating up npcs in HeroQuest of it really makes you feel better (I’m pretty sure it even sez so in da rulz…)

Um… but as I understood Jeff, he just said that Telmori are chaotic (and detect as such to Uroxi) when they turn into wolves on the full moon. BTW, does anyone else remember A Tale of a Rat from the old RQ Companion?
