Gloranthan Boardgames

The boardgame White Bear & Red Moon was the first Gloranthan publication, released in 1975. It detailed the rise of Prince Argrath to defend his homeland of Sartar against the forces of the Lunar Empire. It was published in four editions by Chaosium, Inc., the last renamed Dragon Pass. The second Gloranthan boardgame, Nomad Gods, was released in 1977; the second edition, finally compatible with the Dragon Pass rules set, was published by the French game company Oriflam in 1995. This second game dealt with the eternal conflicts between the animal-riding nomads of Prax. Two other boardgames, Masters of Luck and Death and Shadows Dance, were begun, but have not been completed.

Many articles were written about White Bear & Red Moon and Nomad Gods in the the magazine Wyrms Footnotes and elsewhere, and the most useful of these are reprinted here for your use and enjoyment.
