Issaries, Inc. CafePress.com Policy
Issaries, Inc. is happy to see others establish CafePress.com sites to support the
Hero Wars game and the world of Glorantha, but must balance that
with the need to protect its trademarks and intellectual property rights. As such,
Issaries will permit and encourage others to establish online sites selling
Glorantha-related goods, but only under the following conditions:
- Any CafePress.com site selling items with Glorantha as their main or
partial inspiration must have the prior approval of Issaries, Inc. Issaries, Inc.
will not usually withold permission if the site's products are of suitable standard and
appropriate in their treatment of Glorantha, but it cannot be assumed or required of
Issaries, Inc.
- Any Glorantha-related site must list glorantha as its referring site. This referral constitutes a licensing fee to Issaries, Inc. If a person or
organization has an existing CafePress.com site and wishes to add Gloranthan items to that
site, they may have to establish a separate CafePress.com site for the Gloranthan items to
meet this requirement.
- Any Glorantha-related site must link to
http://www.cafeshops.com/glorantha
as the main source of official Gloranthan products. Such sites are free to use our banners
or other specific graphics for this link, as discussed in our
Online Policy.
- Any site selling Glorantha-inspired items must properly acknowledge that Hero
Wars, Glorantha, and other terms, names, and concepts are trademarks or registered trademarks
of Issaries, Inc. (See below for details.)
- Any CafePress.com site selling Glorantha-inspired items must respect the
copyrights of Issaries, Inc. and all other parties. This includes copyrights of images, slogans,
and text, whether or not such images, slogans, or text are Gloranthan in nature. Issaries, Inc.
reserves the right to revoke authorization of any CafePress.com site selling Gloranthan
items if copyright or trademark violations are reported by third parties. Permission to establish a CafePress.com site selling Gloranthan items does not constitute permission to use any text or images from the Issaries, Inc. or any other web site, except as otherwise granted in this policy.
- Glorantha-related sites may be listed on the official Issaries
CafePress.com page,
at the sole discretion of Issaries, Inc. Send all requests for inclusion on this page
to us.
- Issaries Inc. retains the right to alter these provisions, to refuse permission to sell
Glorantha-inspired items on any site, and to revoke permissions previously given at will.
Issaries, Inc. reserves the right to use any Gloranthan names or concepts in any future
development or publication without additional credit or compensation.
The trademark notice must read:
(Name of Game or Supplement) is the (trademark or registered trademark) of
Issaries, Inc., and is used with permission. Glorantha and the Glorantha
Trading Association are trademarks of Issaries, Inc. HeroQuest, Hero Wars and
Issaries are registered trademarks of Issaries, Inc.
