Glorantha Trading Association Email Self-Manager
with serious thanks to Graham Robinson
GTA members and observers can now manage for themselves how they
receive GTA messages. You can set a password, enter the email
address you use for GTA mailings, and thereafter set or reset
your mailing preferences. Change options are at one of the following
locations, depending on your GTA membership level. (But before you
click on this link, please read the rest of this page.)
Near the bottom of the page is a box to enter your email
address. Do so, then click the "Edit Options" button. That takes
you to a page with options that you can change. If it does not,
please check that the email address you entered is the one Issaries
uses tp send you email. Changing any of the options requires a
password. To find out the default password, click on the "Email My
Password To Me" button, at the left top of the page. Using the
password that the system sends to your official GTA email address,
you can then change it, if you wish.
Changes not listed, like substituting a new email address, are
not currently available. To change your email address, unsubscribe
from the list and then re-subscribe using the new address. Initiates,
Rune Masters, and Heroes must send a confirming email
with your actual name, so that Issaries can verify the change. GTA
Observers do NOT need to notify us, as no verification is needed for
changes at this level. If you have questions about a specific option, contact us for assistance.
If you contact us with a change of email address, DO expect to get an
"unsubscribe" message from rpglist.org to the old email address. Don't
be alarmed at this; it is an automated feature of the mailing list. And
although we try to send a confirmation of each new address added as well,
we sometimes forget. Even so, be assured that if we removed your old
address, we did add your new one.
GTA members cannot entirely unsubscribe automatically, as Issaries needs
to track its donors. Issaries will happily unsubscribe you manually: just
ask by sending us an email so that we can update the
membership database as well. Observers can unsubscribe at will, or by email, at their option.
Names and other information about GTA members are not stored in
the rpglist.org database, only email addresses and GTA rank. No
one besides the list administrators (GTA Steward Mark Leymaster,
Sysop Nils Weinander, and Issaries, Inc., as well as Graham
himself) can even see the email addresses, so your privacy and
anonymity (as appropriate) are being preserved.
Only a few people can post directly to the lists, so there
should be no spam. If you want to suggest a posting, contact
the GTA. Technical questions
sent to us will be forwarded to Graham.
