    Hi there,

do not have the time to read through the whole guide and find mistakes, but I have a small Issue with the pdf.

Through the unusual format, it is not possible to scale it for a Tablet. The pages are either to high or to broad for my tab.

I don’t know if it will be possible to change this in the final PDFs ?

RICK SEZ: Making the electronic version scale to every e-reader and tablet may not be possible.

    Adding to Nick’s excellent spot:
The Index page 767 has Gina Jar instead of Ginna Jar. It also misses the reference to Ginna Jar on page 121

[Text highlighted in red is a suggested change.]

    Title Pages (both volumes)
Illustrations by Dan Barker, Simon Bray… [no other list has colon]

    VOLUME 1

    Page 7
    – of the Sky World peep through the Sky Dome [capitalize Sky World]

    Page 8
    – However, the pervading presence of magic, combined with interaction with the Elder Races, many of whom are far more advanced than humanity, have created cultures with no Earthly equivalent. [capitalized right after, and throughout chapter]
    – They lack powerful central governments (and some classes have long traditions of personal freedom).

    Page 11
    – Thus vital activities of a society, such as widespread organization of agriculture, comprehensive tax collection
    – Wolf Pirates and other sea bandits are a constant menace.

    Page 14
    – The temples of various war gods are often present at battles, the priests protected by bodyguards.

    Page 16
    – Glorantha is not Earth, and the metals called “bronze,” “iron,” “gold,” and so forth, are analogs, not duplicates, of Earthly metals.
    – Gold: (also called el-metal) is the yellow metal of the Fire Rune, and is favored by Solar worshipers.

    Page 23
    – The Doraddi also rely on informal methods of social control, such as gossip, shunning, ridicule

    Page 25
    – Noruma: Great Shaman, maker of Fire, who brought the Earthmaker back from the dead as Amuron the Great Horned Serpent.
    – Doraddi religion is shamanic, but with several hereditary priesthoods at certain sites or to specific deities.

    Page 29
    – Rhinoceros Riders: This clan of rhinoceros-riding nomads is especially noted for the ferocity of their charge in combat.

    Page 30
    – The newly-initiated person is called a girl-woman until she bears her first child, whereafter she is acknowledged as a woman and is capable of owning her own animals.
    – He is the son of Storm Bull and Eiritha, and was born at the end of the Gods War, after his father had slain the Devil and long after his mother was hidden beneath the earth. Waha freed the herd beasts and women from the Darkness, tamed fire, taught men how to kill and dress beasts, established customs, and first learned the songs of power which banish evil and call the spirits to help. [break this into 2 sentences here, these are two sentences with a comma]

    Page 34
    – Thus in Ralios the tribes of Delela often organize into a temporary kingdom to oppose the lowlanders of Safelster or the trolls of Halikiv.

    Page 36
    – Every man, woman, and child has their own knife, and spoons of horn or wood; otherwise, they eat with their fingers.

    Page 37
    – Initiates are reported to have “vanished, like the wind”, probably to join Barntar, the plow god who can be subsumed by the Ernalda temples which are unmolested by Lunar demands.

    Page 38
    – A few dozen ranking families hold most wealth and have family connections in the Imperial Government.

    Page 41
    – It is learned primarily by priests, pedants, and Dara Happans.

    Page 45
    – Decorations, such as embroidery, fringe, exotic feathers, gems, and even gold-dust, are used by those who can afford them.
    – He carries a heavy sword-spear made of bronze. [no need for comma]

    Page 52
    – The King of Seshnela maintains constant skirmishing with the Duke of Nolos and many Safelstran city-states, broken by fierce invasions, and various lesser talars commonly fight out petty quarrels. [‘and’ seems better than ‘but’ when it’s all conflict, no contrast]

    Page 54
    – Worse yet are the wandering swordsmen or gangsters who devote themselves to an ethic of vengeance, faithfulness to oaths, and devotion to the death.

    Page 55
    – In the mountainous areas near the Shan Shan Mountains and in Shiyang Province near the Kingdom of Ignorance, the farmers have constructed large, round stronghouses, with load-bearing, rammed earth walls.

    Page 57
    – Daruda: Fifth emperor of Kralorela. Daruda is the first Dragon Emperor, and he acquired those powers by becoming infinite, but returned to the world of life and death, where he was perceived to be a great dragon.
    – Thalurzni: Sixth emperor of Kralorela and ruler of the Summer Land Heaven [other entries lowercase]

Pages 679, 681, 682, 686, 689, 692, 695 – the God Learner maps of the Mythic Ages seem to be very low res. However, this may be deliberate as part of the sneak peek.

Jeff Sez: Everything is very low res in this sneak peak – on purpose! Please don’t worry about the resolution of images!

Page 717 As related to Gorlok the Voyager, initiate of the Eneal Lhankor Mhy Temple. An uzko told me this, in Dagori Inkarth. 1230 ST

I remember when Arkat was born. I was there.

An extremely long lived Uzko? Or an UzUz?

Jeff Sez: The ambiguity was intentional on Greg’s part. It could be that Gorlok was told this by an uzko who related the story of an Uzuz. Or the uzko was very long lived as she was there when Arkat was born.

page 345 refers to the Thrice Blessed People as being “simple goat herders”, while page 346 refers to them as being “nomadic hunters, fishers, and reindeer herders.” I suppose those aren’t mutually exclusive, though.

Page 729. Side Bar text. The extent of the Windstop in 1623.
However on pages 728-9 discusses how the Whitewall fell in 1621 then “…the wind stopped” and later in “1622, King Broyan and Kallyr Starbrow ambushed the Lunar Army” and how “[t]his victory revived Orlanth and Ernalda”.
So change the Side Bar text to 1621 or 1622?

page 95 – col1, the paragraph structure is confusing. I suggest changing it to:

    Trolls possess a formal marriage
ceremony, but it is often ignored. Many
females never marry. Often, several sisters
    will share multiple husbands.

About half of all dark troll pregnancies result
in a litter of trollkin, an occasion for mourning.
True dark troll children are highly valued…
