Page 670, the figure with the yellow “20” is actually three separate figures, 20 being the upright jar, 21 the person, and 22 the downwards jar (then 21-23 become 23-25, matching the descriptions).

A couple more low res images on p.70 & p.91.

RICK SEZ: Fixed. They were Bitmap instead of Greyscale…

Page 655, the illustration caption references the Sun and the Red Moon, which are not in the illustration. The caption does not mention the immense gray object in the left background (God’s Wall? Alkoth?). The caption mentions and describes only 3 statues, but 7 are visible.

Page 656, “Harvesting is going on in the background” should be “foreground”. There is also a reference to a stone Earth temple “on the far left”. Given the earlier paragraph referring to an Earth temple “to our right”, the “far left” reference seems incorrect. Perhaps the two paragraphs should be combined and the “far left” reference removed?

Page 733, the “Dragonrise” illustration is beautiful, but there doesn’t seem to be any legend explaining it, or the four numbered “zoom-ins”.

RICK SEZ: No room. Too big a layout change. There is text box on 732.

Page 739, the caption says the illustration of “six-armed” Yara Aranis, but the statue in the illustration has only four. I could certainly understand if one (or maybe two) of them are “mystical” (like the “No Wind”), but perhaps a short sentence explaining the discrepancy could be added.

A crimson wonder is definitely rolling across the sky. So good, guys! I’ll hit the index over the weekend but it looks like a lot of the big points are already resolving.

Seeing the Wall like this is especially fantastic. That said:

    p. 673 box, just confirming that the Red Emperor was the one who both asked and answered here. That early in the lunar era, it’s quite possible he *was* asked (by DH traditionalists) where his mother was or even that he *was* repeated the decree (by eager syncretists) when he himself wondered how this whole wall thing fit in with his new creed. Having him read both parts is also possible, so I’m just checking here.

    p. 676 Deshkorgos no longer has the skeletal rib cage that distinguished him back in GRAY! Cool with me but it makes the “as we can see from the bones” reference a little enigmatic. Is there space for Iverlanthus to squeeze in an aside, “Some depictions of this entity are skeletal but interestingly this one is not.” ??

Elsewhere (just fleeting things, not chasing typographical purity):

    p. 403 lose all 3 commas in “disciplined, in Glorantha. Each horali has had several zzaburi enhancing him, – enchanting his weapons and preparing healing,” and consider adding something like “fighting forces” after disciplined.

    p. 404 wizard’s hyphen has migrated: perhaps “long-sleeved robe”

    p. 662 map, footnote on Pamaltela contains the word “dildrums” — probably does not refer to the king of the cats! Should be “doldrums”?

RICK SEZ: All but map fixed. Colin will fix map.

Problems in the Index: some where names are used for different things, and word confusion: e.g. lead the metal and lead the action, Hunt the constellation and hunt the action.

    Page 754: Arkat (NB constellation)
    Page 755: Bagog (NB constellation)
    Page 578: Cat (NB: island)
    Page 579: Cow (NB: island)
    Page 762: Dragon (NB constellation)
    Page 767: Giant (NB: mountain)
    Page 772: Hunt (NB constellation)
    Page 775: Kalikos (NB star)

    Page 798: Whisperers (NB consellation)
    Page 799: Youth (NB: constellation)
    Page 799: Youth (NB: Star)

NB and NB: should be removed.
The text following NB/NB: sometimes has a capital letter, sometimes not. Whisperers ‘consellation’ should be ‘constellation’. (Mea culpa).

Unfortunately, the page numbers indexed by these entries don’t all correlate to the constellation/island/mountain/jumper/star.

The following page references do not relate to the item, and should be removed:

    Youth (NB: constellation) 645, 647, 659
    Youth (NB: Star) 112, 642, 644, 659

From looking through these I believe the following index entries are missing (mea culpa):
    giant/giants

I believe a few entries that refer to the other form need attention to remove page references to the constellation/island/mountain/jumper/star (though it may be instead be desirable to retain them):
    Arkat
    Bagog
    Dragon
    Kalikos
    Lorion
    Lorion
    Rausa
    Theya

    Another name problem:
    An 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 17, 33, 35, 47, 58, 66, 81, 87, 94, 100, 112, 114, 129, 135, 142, 157, 164, 198, 200, 205, 211, 215, 220, 224, 225, 237, 240, 241, 259, 264, 267, 271, 278, 282, 285, 316, 335, 344, 361, 364, 376, 383, 385, 387, 397, 419, 429, 439, 451, 459, 474, 480, 482, 483, 493, 506, 509, 511, 512, 515, 519, 528, 551, 566, 575, 581, 593, 608, 641, 644, 646, 677, 694, 715, 717, 724, 730, 737, 743, 745, 746

The An tribe should only be referenced on page 511. All other instances are to the use of the indefinite article ‘an’.

RICK SEZ: I fixed all of these. In the future, it may be easier just to say which few page references should remain instead which 50 should be deleted. Either way, great stuff.

Maps on pages 472, 473, 572, 571, 589, 599 and 609 are hexless, unlike the other similar maps in the book.

Page 147 (Form Runes diagram) has a rune labelled “Dragonnewt” (s/be “Dragonewt”). This is an art glitch, so it may be hard to fix.

Page 149 (Condition Runes diagram): the Power (Pamalt rune) says it’s for the “Soverign” (s/be “Sovereign”). Again, this is an art glitch.

Hyphens are used as em-dashes on pages 354 (three instances), 362, 376 (six instances, all in the blue box; Arkat Destroyer has the correct em-dash in its entry), 378, 389, 403 (three instances), 404, 405 (four instances)…. Actually, a search for ” -” and “- ” turns up large number (with a few false positives), including “–” rather than an em-dash in a number of places. I can compile a full list of all instances if this would be helpful.

Both “worshipped” and “worshiped” are used throughout. It would be nice if this were consistent, with my preference going to “worshipped” for whatever that’s worth.

The long dash (“—”) is used where an em-dash (“–”) should be in a number of places. Again, I can compile a complete list if this would be helpful.

Page 4, column 3: The em-dash in “for me – the manifestation” appears bolder than those elsewhere.

Page 10, column 3: “Six Hells are shown, including”. Since six names then follow, it would be better without the “including”, as “Six Hells are shown:”.

Page 405, blue box: “Some of the more important codes include:” -> “Some of the more important codes are:”

    Page 745, column 1: “a foot-deep” -> “a foot deep”.

Page 745, column 1: The layout for the description of glyph 1 differs from that of 2 and 3 below it, being much narrower.

Page 747, columns 2 and 3: Verses 4, 5, 6, and 7 have the first line differently indented from the following lines.

Page 750, column 1: “Middle Earth” -> “Middle-earth” (this is a different instance from that I reported earlier).

Page 750, column 1: Mentioned earlier, but here the double em-dash and single em-dash also occur within the text of the Tolkien entry, and not just after the first title, so I thought I’d note it just in case. (Though see above that the long dash is used elsewhere and should just be replaced by the em-dash.)

Page 750, column 3: “Stafford &Jeff” -> “Stafford and Jeff” (as elsewhere in the list of publications; if it must be an ampersand, then add the space after it).

Page 750, column 3: The period after the titles are sometimes bold, sometimes not; these should be consistent one way or the other.

RICK SEZ: Fixed. I will not use Em dashes, fwiw.
