    I’m finding the number of severed heads on the statue of Seseine to be rather disturbing.

    Kudos for the re-interpretation of the Statue of Artemis Ephesia tho.

    Mike Perry had a lot of fun with that picture. It is based on Franz von Stuck’s “Salome” since that is pretty much a textbook picture of sinister sensuality. He came up with the reinterpretation of the Artemis of Ephesus as a cult icon (I originally had an Aphrodite-Ishtar in mind, but I liked his version better).

    Yes, the head on platter made me immediately think of John the Baptist/Salome.
    Definitely gives a very sinister Fonritian feel.
